Anticipation

Here is another photo that I took at the Leverett Peace Pagoda. Just stones and leaves. So simple, so beautiful. I took enough photos for weeks of blog entries.

I worked just 2 days this week and feel depleted. Has something shifted? I don't have my usual energy. Now I wonder how in the world I worked full-time my entire life? I rode my bike both days but somehow avoided the downpours. Lucy met me for lunch today and we went to one of our favorite lunch spots, a Brazilian cafe which is self-service by the pound. We love to go there. And indulged in those super sweet Brazilian desserts which are known for using sweetened condensed milk and lots of eggs. Yummy!

So tomorrow is a big medical day. Mark has asked to go with me which is pretty unusual. I think he is worried and wants to ask some questions that have been weighing on him. We will meet with the nurse practicioner who has a different demeanor -- i.e. she's not The Vixen, but is very competent and kind. I will also see the psychologist. I feel so neutral about her. Not sure if I'll continue to meet with her, even if occasionally. My insurance paid over $450 for the initial consultation of which I paid $15 as the co-pay. No wonder the medical system is teetering on financial ruin. $450 for a 1-hour visit with a therapist? That's ridiculous.
