I have been reading Osho's "Seeds of Wisdom" book and am totally into it. I am going to order a few copies for friends -- so far I will give a copy to my sister and to Lynn. Here is an excerpt:"At night, when the sky is filled with stars, do not think about them but see them. And when the waves dance on the vast expanse of the ocean, do not think about them but see them. And when a bud is opening into a blossom see it, just see it! When there is no thought but only seeing, a great secret is revealed, and access is gained through the door of nature into that mystery which is God.
Nature is nothing more than a veil over God, and only those who know how to life that veil become familiar with the truth of life."
Reading this book over the last few days has had a huge impact on my meditation practice. As I sat this morning, it felt really different. Less thought, more quietness. His words are touching me at a very deep place. Something is shifting. It's almost as if I'm receiving a transmission. It is wonderful. Last summer I read Eckhardt Tolle but somehow his writing was very disturbing. The ideas are pretty much the same, yet this writing I find very positive. The book as 120 letters written to a student of his. How exciting to be onto this!
I'm on the Cape with my sister and the Angels. This morning I sat out on her back patio in a bathing suit, drinking coffee. It doesn't get any better than that! Today's main activity was taking Shayna to her archery lesson. It is lovely to slot into their lifestyle, their daily rhythm. Next -- helping my sister to get her garden in, then going for a walk on the beach. Yummy!
