Helping Lulu Pack

Another photo of my aunt's garden. At one point my cousin had hooked up the "gray" water from the washing machine so that the garden got watered each time someone ran a load of laundry. For some reason that isn't hooked up anymore. Now her garden features a whale spine. A few summers ago she was on a protected beach and found a whale carcass. Rather than leave it be (per the law), she decided to pull it home behind the boat, tied it to the dock, and let the coyotes strip it clean over the winter. The next summer my uncle inserted a metal rod between the vertebrae so it stood upright. She used it as a garden "sculpture". And I wonder where I get my whacky ideas? Clearly the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in this case!

It is hot in Boston. I rode my bike anyway. I never understand why buildings are icy in the summertime and stuffy in the winter. What a waste of energy.

Tonight I met up with Lynn and Lulu to help Lulu pack for a 3 week trip to Asia. I brought along some of the clothing I bought in India which is perfect for those steamy, humid climates which still require modesty.
