Bow Pose

Mark took this picture a few days ago. Sasha is so dark that she is barely visible, but I asked that Mark grab the camera quick as we were doing the same pose. My body is SO STIFF that I can barely reach back and grab my ankles in bow pose. So I use the wall, pressing my shins against it, attempting to release my thighs and open my chest. I am grateful for all the years of yoga training -- if I didn't have that practice, I swear I'd be in a wheelchair! That's an exaggeration of course but it makes the point.

I spent the day in the studio with Lynn and of course Sasha. I'm feeling low energy today. We still managed to finish 9 collages between us. I so love spending Fridays in the studio. We're planning for our show in December -- there are so many details to consider so it's a good thing that there is a team of us and that we're starting early. Today the press release was finalized. One of my next tasks is to hire a Russian musician/singer for the opening party. I'm also looking for a samovar to serve tea. Ideas, anyone?

Mark is in New Jersey with Michael. They drove down this afternoon. I had planned to go out West by myself (never by myself anymore with Sasha as my constant companion) but am so fatigued that I may not go at all. Every once in a while I need to stay home and re-charge. I thought I was getting sick today with a sore throat and low energy, so it's time to put on the brakes and hide out at home for a bit. We'll see how long that lasts!
