My cousin/friend/spiritual teacher/soul sister Jane commissioned a painting way back in September, and here it is. She asked for specific dimensions, 28 inches by 14 inches. She just received it a few days ago. The title is "That Can Sing Both High and Low". I got the title from a line in "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson. Jane likes it very much -- and I am happy about that. I haven't done many commissions. It is a little bit of a nail-biter, wondering if the "patron" will be pleased or not. For some reason that particular painting took a long time to complete. But I am pleased with it -- as is Jane!The last-minute shopping is complete -- including buying a big suitcase which will travel to India empty, and return stuffed. When I got back from my first trip to India in 1995, my sister said the suitcase was like a clown car -- I just kept pulling out wonderful stuff. I have a shopping list for India as well. So if you haven't let me know what you want, now is the time.
We will travel with a laptop so I will be able to blog from there.
