Scott Brown

I took this picture a few weeks ago in Karen and Sayward's yard. I hope to see them this weekend for a more extensive "shoe" in a neighboring town. They take me to different places from time to time. I always enjoy that, little day trips to explore more places to snow shoe and hike.

How shocking to hear our state's special Senate election discussed on the BBC this morning! When is the last time that Massachusetts made international news? Mark chided me all day about not voting. I felt really guilty to wake up this morning to the headline of the Wall Street Journal, "GOP Victory Upends Senate". Honestly I assumed that Martha Coakley would win so I didn't bother to get informed about their positions. Tonight I heard that Scott Brown had put forth a proposal to disallow abortion after rape! Now I'm scrambling trying to figure out who he is and chastising myself for not voting.
