Another fun-filled day. Lucy and I spent about 4 hours in the studio in East Boston, working on the War and Peace Project. This is the first opportunity that Lucy has had to make some pieces -- she finished two today. I am continuing to train for the Avon Walk. It is really convenient to have the pedometer. Today I walked 10.04 miles. I ate a lot before leaving the house which certainly helped sustain energy. Mark went with me for a good part of it. He probably walked 5 miles. He is feeling much better but still not 100%. He got a little dizzy while walking down into the basement. He looks good but is still recovering his energy. He will go to work tomorrow. I hope he continues to feel stronger as each day passes. We're joking around -- no more ambulances! In spite of making light of it, it was a really scary day.
The image is one of my oil paintings called "Music of a Mild Day". Tilla is a graphic designer and is designing business cards for me, using this image. I am hoping that the piece is accepted into the Boston Museum of Fine Arts summer auction. I was accepted a few years ago but rejected last year.
Tomorrow is another day off. In Massachusetts we celebrate Patriots Day so my clinic is closed. It is the Boston Marathon which goes right through the neighborhood. Kelsey is running as a non-qualified runner. I can barely walk 10 miles. How in the world do you run 26?
