I'm settling into this new treatment phase. It was a rough start -- I really didn't want to go through this again. Eventually acceptance comes -- with all situations. The suite was quiet today -- none of the ladies was in a talkative mood. Including myself.

One of my favorite things to do is go to the movies. I have a membership to an "art house" theatre and go regularly. Mark gets me a membership every year as a birthday gift. I love to sit in the dark, eat popcorn and get caught up in a film. Last night I went to see "GOMORRAH". I ran into my painter friend and former studio-mate Chris Chou so we went together. She had been there earlier seeing animated Oscar shorts. I would not recommend it. I considered walking out -- the first scene was men in a sauna who were gunned down mafia-style. I have the fortunate (or unfortunate) tendency to finish what I start, whether a book, movie or whatever. I typically go to the (sometimes bitter) end. I am trying to change that -- why waste time? But change comes slowly...

Margrit send a beautiful hand-painted card last fall with the following Rumi poem:

Don't turn away.
Keep your gaze on the bandaged place.
That's where the light enters you.
