Spider Web Cookies

My friend Claude is a personal chef in San Francisco. She sent this photo of her spider web cookies that she made for Halloween. They look too beautiful to eat!

You can see more of her photos at her web site

She gave me some plum chutney when we were in San Francisco last summer. I cracked it open over the weekend and it was just fantastic. She picks the fruit from the tree in front of her family's house. What a treat.

So tonight we vote. Mark and I are heading to the polls together. It is so scary to think about the Tea Party -- could it really swing that far right? Of course -- and all polls indicate that we're about to swing big time. So we'll do our civic duty and vote for a stable tax base and other such "liberal" ideals.
