| Our outhouse |
That happened on Wednesday.
On Friday Glenn and I bought a house in Bethlehem, Connecticut. It's a dream house - a contemporary house built in 2010 by the sellers. It was meant to be their forever house but they decided to consolidate their live in Maine. Our good fortune! It's on 10 acres that abuts a school that has 300 acres of trails that we are welcome to explore. It has a guest house and we are taking reservations now! And on the back property line there is an outhouse that is sinking way in. We keep discovering wonderful things about the house. The owners left us some essential things like rugs and a few pieces of needed furniture. and when we got there Friday afternoon, had left potted daffodils on the planters and a pink potted tulip in the kitchen. They have impeccable taste. We met them last Sunday for the "walk through" and hit if off. We joked with them that we will follow them to Maine in 10 years - buy whatever they are willing to sell.
It was Glenn's birthday yesterday and as a nod toward spring and our cool new place, I bought hm an azalea bush. It was snowing last night so we were unable to plant it today.
So exciting and so life-affirming.
Interesting side note: since I learned that there is no evidence of cancer, suddenly whatever "pain" I had has evaporated. I am feeling great and happy. And lucky in all aspects of life.
