Sledding with the Angels

Paris has several old "passages" which are basically very early versions of a shopping mall. The passages are many blocks long and are inside the big buildings, in some places with glass overhead which lets in natural light. The shops are absolutely charming for the most part, although in some places there are low-end restaurants and such. But basically they are absolute jewels. When Lynn introduced them to me a few years ago, I was totally taken with their beauty and charm.

But back to Boston... we had another massive snowstorm last night. So we spent the morning digging out with our neighbors. We live in a 2-family house which shares a long driveway with 2 other similar houses, so it is a lot of work. We are blessed with wonderful neighbors so we all pitch in. The guys even "fight" over who gets to use the snow blower which is always funny. Once that task was done, I spent the afternoon sledding with the Angels. Sasha loves the snow. She goes wild in it. It is fun to watch her enjoy herself so much.

I am feeling the luxury of having so much time off. I looked at the calendar this week and realized that I work less than half of the week. Tomorrow I'll work in the studio with Team Tolstoy. I missed them last week but they didn't meet because of another snow storm.

I received a promising email this week from an art consultant whose job it is to find original art for an expanding health clinic in East Boston. She is working with a Newbury Street gallery. She said that they really liked my work and hope to place it at the health center but also at their gallery. That was very exciting. I haven't even bothered to promote my artwork (other than the War and Peace Project) this year because the economy is so bad and it's so discouraging. So that was a very exciting development.
