Black Coffee

I have the bone biopsy this morning. AT LEAST I'm allowed black coffee! The nurse called Wednesday and went over the procedure. Clear liquids until 7:30am. I did this same thing in June 2017. Glenn went with me and neither of us can remember anything about it. I remember checking in. And walking downstairs. But other than that I can't remember much at all. Strangely enough, neither an he.

So I'm busy staying in my happy place. Last night I played music with Judy. She introduced me to "Hickory Wind". We sing, play, laugh, drink. She's 79 years old. When we're together, everything drops out of awareness. It's just the music, just the moment. I was actually pretty tired when I arrived but all that stress melts away. I brought her a bottle of sake. After I got home, she texted me a few links to the song. I'm eager to get started on it! I am up ridiculously early so have to wait a bit to play. The neighbors upstairs won't appreciate the boom of the Martin at 5:30am.

Lynn will come by with her dog Booki and we will go for a walk.

Then I'll walk over to the hospital.

Julie will be with me in the recovery room and will get me home.
Glenn drives up tonight. And we have a full weekend planned with a second consultation with the kitchen designer. Dinner with Scott and Amy Saturday night. An art meeting in Nashua on Sunday. Music, art, love. And milk in my coffee tomorrow, God willing.

And in the meantime I'm working a lot in the studio to prepare for my show in March at Galatea. I have completed 6 pairs of new encaustic paintings. The one here is #7. Still working on it's partner.
